Brewing and distillation are designed to produce different types of alcoholic beverages.
Brewing is used to make beer from grains such as wheat and barley.
Distillation is used to make high-alcohol alcoholic beverages, such as whiskey, vodka or rum.
Thus, the difference between brewing and distillation is that the former is aimed at producing beer with a low alcohol content (usually about 5%), while the latter is aimed at creating drinks with a higher alcohol content (sometimes up to 45%).
